2 years coming up!

It was Feb 2011 when I was my heaviest. Yes, I gave birth to #4 and ate whatever I wanted during Thanksgiving and Christmas before the birth, but it was NO excuse to really not see what I was doing to myself. I admit I didn't see it. I looked in the mirror and as long as I could look good in my face, I never realized how big my body was, until we had to fly and get in an airplane seat. :( So now, My January 1st weigh is showed I have lost 95 lbs and I love it! I've done it safely, realistically and sadly without real regular exercise. I WANT you all to know you SHOULD Exercise, I should. But really if you come live with me, you would see how very stressful and challenging that would be and STRESS STOPS WEIGHTLOSS, if not increases weight GAIN! UGH! SO I choose not to stress over that and in time... I will Work out! this looks like an 'evolution' photo, LOL. From big and hunched to healthier and able to stand up straight! I will be traveling for the next two ...

Breakfast Shake: Skeptic to Believer

Eat Breakfast - Never Skip IT! My Old Mindset... Food is just wonderful. I feel we should EAT! So when I see 'meal replacements', I'm tuned off. My New Thinking... We are not "replacing the meal"... we are still HAVING the Meal! A wonderful way to get what you need quick, easy, and delicious! It's a mindset that I now understand. So lets Eat, even if it's in a cup! I used to eat... Yummy omelets packed with veggies, not too bad for you really, but about an hour after, lets just say I had some less-than-desired symptoms. Then about 2-4 hours after, I was a little "munchie" or "snacky". Not good when you want to limit snacks (increasing insulin production in your body, with me, pcos). Weightloss was slow, and not much increased energy. Now I eat... A " JJ Virgin Breakfast Shake " (a link to article with free recipe). I use JJ Virgin's Shake/Smoothie Recipes  a (link to pdf of recipes) and the results: Love the Tast...

It's a progress, don't stop!

October 2011 is when I changed eating more than ever, and when I talk most about this journey beginning. But, I was my heaviest 8 months earlier, when I gave birth to #4. It was one of those things where I had to look back. This journey and documentation wasn't planned. So here's the 'evolution' of me. Feb 2011 - Oct 2011 - Feb 2012 - Oct 2012 It is almost two years, and yes, I will try to take an updated photo in February. I know many want to lose weight fast and all but for my this is best, I have had a lost EVERY month (but one, and it was a 1 lb gain). I am determined to keep going until it's time to do weights and serious cardio! Woowoo! The season WILL come because I have 'will' for it! :) Be encouraged! PS: baby was breastfed for 15 months!

Will this be a year of a "new you"? No pressure of deadlines! Get those out of your head! Just do what is realistic in adding to your life and/or changing your lifestyle! When I changed my eating, I had mentally prepared a year before it happened while I as pregnant with #4 and at my Heaviest!. When the door opened to do it, I did not plan it or see it coming, but felt the opportunity and GRABBED IT! Get focused and take baby steps! These were/are mine... So please do this - Your Homework... Hand-Write Down your goals. Put them where you see them (bath mirror, fridge, etc) Know you *will* have Amazing days! Know you *will* have defeated days! Know that the next meal or next day you can start over (if you backslide). Give yourself Grace, Love, Time, and Forgiveness Be Focused, Determined, Driven, and Goal minded Get a partner to do this with (spouses encouraged to do this together or get a friend who will not enable you to fail). Yes, you may consume you...
